32nd Annual DeKalb County Angel Tree Project Signups

• Thursday, November 5 | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Location: Smithville First Baptist Church Life Enrichment Center (under the carport)

• Open to DeKalb County residents with children from birth through age 12 as of December 25, 2026.

• Required documents: Photo ID, current bill showing DeKalb County address, and Social Security cards and birth certificates for all children listed (guardian paperwork accepted for temporary placements).

• Note: Strict deadline with no exceptions. If you cannot attend in person, an adult representative may apply on your behalf with all required documentation.

The Spot Family Movie Night

56th Annual Chamber Prayer Breakfast

• Program features County Mayor Patrick Ray as guest speaker, special music by Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church choir members, a pancake breakfast prepared by the men’s group, and Leadership DeKalb serving and leading prayers.

Appalachian Center for Craft Holiday Festival

Last-Minute Toy Shop Registration

• Tuesday, December 1 – Friday, December 4 | 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM daily

• Location: DeKalb County Complex

• Open to children from birth through age 18 (who are still enrolled in high school).

• Requirements: Bring a photo ID, utility or rent receipt showing DeKalb County residency, and birth certificates for all children in custody (prior-year participants only need birth certificates for newly added children). Non-English speakers must be accompanied by an adult interpreter.

• Shopping day: Registered participants receive an assigned shopping appointment for Saturday, December 12. No late registration.

Annual Festival of Trees Grand Reveal

• Monday, December 7 | 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM

• Walk through a Christmas tree wonderland, enjoy cookies and punch, vote on favorite trees across multiple categories, and place gifts under the trees.

Smithville Christmas on the Square & Parade

• Saturday, December 5th.

• Parade starts at 4 PM at 1 N Public Sq.

• Live Windows around the square from 5:30 - 7 PM
